GATHERING FOR WORSHIP - SUNDAYS
In Hadleigh, we meet every Sunday to worship God and encourage each other in our faith - see Sunday Services. In Monks Eleigh, there is usually a gathering every fourth Sunday at 3pm in the Manse next to the chapel. You can also watch a livestream of the service live or afterwards.
MID-WEEK PRAYER - WEDNESDAYS 10:30AM
From 10am every Wednesday morning the Church is open as a quiet space to pray or reflect. At 10:30am there is a time of led prayer - for the needs of individuals, the community and the world - which lasts about 20 minutes. On the 2nd and 4th Wednesdays of the month we stay on for tea, coffee, biscuits and chat.
THE ARK - FRIDAYS AT 9:30AM (AT THE BAPTIST CHURCH)
A Group for Babies and Toddlers with their parents or carers - crafts, puzzles, toys, snacks, songs and stories - and fresh cake and coffee for the grown-ups! Every Friday in school termtime 9:30-11:30am. Run in collaboration with Hadleigh Baptist Church at the Baptist Church on George Street.
EXPLORING FAITH AND WORKING WITH OTHER CHURCHES
Hadleigh URC is an active member of Churches Together in Hadleigh. We frequently take part in joint services, events and outreach.
There are a variety of groups that meet regularly or from time to time, including afternoon Bible studies and fellowship, a Dad's sharing and support group and discussion groups. Please contact our minister (minister@hadleighurc.org.uk) if you'd like more details.
Periodically, we run courses for those who are interested in finding out more about the Christian faith - like Alpha and Christianty Explored. Check the homepage for latest dates.
SUPPORTING THE ANSELL CENTRE CHARITY
Many of our Church Members are involved in the Ansell Centre Charity - some as trustees and others as volunteers and helpers. The ACC uses the Ansell Centre to provide a range of services to the community - Lunch Clubs and Digital Cinema twice a month and Memories Cafe every Thursday (from 11am).
FIND
Now that Hadleigh no longer has a foodbank based in the town, a reminder that FIND (Families in Need) continues to help people in Ipswich and the surrounding areas, including our town and villages, who are experiencing poverty and despair.
For over 30 years, FIND has provided free food parcels and personal care items to help people get through a crisis, as well as furniture, bedding and other household items where the person or family has none.
The contact details are: https://www.findipswich.org.uk/ or 01473 833351
The churches in Hadleigh continue to collect items for use by FIND and as with the situation 3 or 4 years ago are looking to organise a list of volunteers who might be able to transport items from FIND’s Ipswich HQ to folks here. Please email: danton89@hotmail.com if you can help.
