Even though we can't meet together,

we can still be together!

July 12

Remember, remember?

So, how much do you remember from Peter's letter?

Look at the pictures below.

What do they remind you about what Peter has said?...

When you've tried to work it out, have a look below.

Can you match up an an answer with each picture?

We should love people - even when they're not kind to us!

We have hope to share: Jesus died for us and rose from the dead!

Real beauty is on the inside: if we have a humble trust in God!

We can get through the 'fires' of hard times: God will help us!

We are like a temple made up of 'living stones': God lives in us!

So, how does Peter finish off his letter? Let's read and find out:

Love, Peter...

God will make everything right. He will make you strong. He will support you and keep you from falling. He is the God who gives all grace. He called you to share in his glory in Christ. That glory will continue forever. All power is his forever and ever. Amen.

I wrote this short letter with the help of Silas. I know that he is a faithful brother in Christ. I wrote to comfort and encourage you. I wanted to tell you that this is the true grace of God. Stand strong in that grace.

The church in Babylon sends you greetings. They were chosen the same as you. Mark, my son in Christ, also greets you. Give each other a kiss of Christian love when you meet.

Peace to all of you who are in Christ.

(1 Peter 5:10-14)

Questions to Talk About

  • Why does Peter think the Christians he's writing to will be okay?

  • What do you think he means by "grace"?

How did you explain grace? Here's one way of describing it...

There's Hope for Me!

Grace... that's good news, isn't it?

God will help us!

God will give us more than we deserve!

Remember Peter's words:

He will make you strong. He will support you and keep you from falling.

And the bread and cup we'll be sharing together today is all about remembering God's GRACE to us!

We'll Make it!

Before we do that, why not make something that shows God helping and supporting you?

It might be a picture or painting...

Or something made from lego...

Or a 3D (junk) model?
