I have the feeling that a request to the Records Office at Bury St Edmunds might help, but in the meantime I'll pass your query on to our local church historian. Ronnie Ronnie Howson - Capel St Mary, Suffolk UK January 20, 2008 20:43 nice visiting your webpage I was born in Hadleigh went to school there barb - oscoda, michigan usa January 10, 2008 13:40 I'm interested in the reference on this site to an aspect of the church's early history, namely to a member of the Scots Greys regiment finding an open Bible in a field, and finding his faith as a result. I wonder if this might be a reference to my own family history. I can trace my family roots back to an Adam Stag, Light Troop, Scots Greys, who was quartered in Hadleigh, and who married a local Hadleigh girl, Hannah Secker, on 31 January 1758. Adam had his children christened in the Hadleigh Independent church. Apparently there are references in local Hadleigh histories to this incident involving a member of the Scots Greys regiment. Can anyone assist me by quoting one of these historical references ? Is the soldier's name given. Is a year given ? Thanks in advance for any help rendered. Michael Stagg, Singapore. Michael Stagg - Singapore, Singapore January 06, 2008 09:46 I wonder if anyone who reads this had attended either the Burns Supper of 2 weeks ago, or the Explorers' sleepover on Sunday. Do let us know if you did, and what you thought. Ronnie Howson - Capel St Mary, Suffolk UK February 14, 2007 16:22 Thank you for the good wishes, John. Dear brothers and sisters in Christ, I am a young gospel singer/songwriter. I was wondering if you could spare just 10 minutes of your time to listen to my songs on gunhill.org.uk website. I have webpages on the site with samples of my songs on audio also a video of me playing and singing one of my songs and also my testimony. I also have a phone number on the site should you feel you would like to book me to come and sing at your church. My aim is to use the ministry which the Lord as given to me as outreach in the proclaimation of the gospel and to see lives changed. My music appeals to all age groups, and I am looking to share my music with as many people up and down the country. I have recorded an Album called "The Answer's on it's Way". Thank you for your time. May the Lord Bless you as you seek to serve Him in the work which He as given you to do. Stephen Hewitt - Basildon, Essex UK January 16, 2006 16:57 A nicely and logically laid-out WEB site. Comprehensive, but not "in your face" as so many are these days. As an atheist, I don't agree with the sentiments, but it's a free country! Fraser Howson - Mundesley, Norwich UK January 04, 2006 17:26 A very impressive site and so user friendly which is most important for some of us! I love the open door of the church and its welcoming look. Also it's always kept up-to-date - something which takes a lot of time and effort. Thank you Webmaster. Christmas day in Brisbane was hot (32 deg C) so cold meats and salads are the order of the day Down Under. Stikk, the Christmas pudding goes down well! Blessings for the new year.
